Obviously steeped in reading from his doctoral pursuits, Brandon Wason has recently written a post on Bultmann’s theology of John. I spent a lot of time in Bultmann’s commentary on the Fourth Gospel during my doctoral program and of course while writing my dissertation. (What commentary written that many years ago is still regarded as essential reading?) However, I have always found Bultmann to be an enigma because although he asks all the right questions, he usually, in my humble opinion, arrives at all the wrong answers. Check out Brandon’s post if you get the chance.
